Kai Lewis was very creative and imaginative ever since she was a child. She grew up liking stories and often made them up during her free time. She had lots of stories in mind that still continue. By the time she was in High School, she began her writing hobby in short stories and poetry. Her first year in college at Howard Community College was when she took her writing more seriously, taking relevant classes, and throughout her education, her writing greatly improved. After attending a four-year college, Kai went back to Howard Community College to major in Web Development. Through the web development classes, Kai started to create her own website and social media accounts. Kai is currently on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

 

Her favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, Hans Christian Anderson, the Brothers Grimm, and Lewis Carroll. Kai has read lots of William Shakespeare throughout her school experience, from high school to Liberty University. She became inspired to use wizards a bit in her own stories after watching the Harry Potter movies. The “Little Mermaid’ has been a long-time favorite movie, and now she is writing her own mermaid/fish-theme books. 

 

With the rise of AI, she feels that AI takes away her own imagination, creativity, and the way she writes, so she won’t use it to write her story. However, she will use AI to help with plotting, organizing, structuring, getting ideas, and may use the ideas or thoughts if she feels it benefit or improves her story in the way she wants. It also makes her more determined to write and see the books through.
